The company's name was changed to Mont Blanc in 1910 after a pen made in Hamburg was released. The company's trademark is the "White Star" shape, which made its debut in 1913 and was modeled after Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps. The company's original fountain pen, known as the Meisterstück ("Masterpiece"), was developed in 1924 and is being produced to this day. The Meisterstück's success allowed the business to grow globally and begin exporting its goods.
