Go with what gets you there! There so many different ways to advertise your products and/or services for example; Banners, Traffic Exchanges, Classified ads, Renewable ads, Paid Keywords, Free ads and Submission ads to just name a few can cause anyone new to internet sales and marketing a lot of anxiety. So if you are new, what do you do? My suggestion is to try them all! Not at the same time of course, one by one or if part of a package so that it will allow you enough time to evaluate the performance of each ad service. The idea is to generate the hits to your website, each one will do this for you but some will be better than others.
Don't fall into a common mistake made by some of the newer members to the industry and that is to use a service they like based on the ease or because of some slick features that are offered. Try everything at least once and go with the results, bottom line is the most important factor when you are starting out. You want results early so use the services and features that bring the viewers to you now.
As always any feedback or questions are always welcome, just click on my name below
Sincerely, Barry Scott Editor

Making Your Own Website - 5 Easy Web Tips
For Beginners
By Dannie Melancon
You have a personal interest, hobby, or other worthy endeavor, and are ready to create your web presence. Initially, the scope of information, offers and services can be overwhelming, but for the beginner, or the more seasoned, a few easy web tips will forge a solid foundation. Know your expectations
Determine your expectations for your new website, the destination of your purpose. If your site is to be a personal site, your cause or an interest near and dear to your heart, create your web presence with this in mind. If your intention, is for your site to be a business endeavor, or evolve into such, base your expectation with this goal.
Do it yourself
Making a website is quite assessable, even for the technology challenged, with easy to use site builders, and various web editors. These are type, point, and click tools that make building a site yourself on a list of cool stuff to do. Unless you are prepared to spend a lot of money for someone else to build, design or make your website, do frequent maintenance, and add your tweaks, you will want to do it yourself.

Learn it yourselfThe same intention is,
every aspect of web development, design, format, content,
and resource you learn yourself, is less money you will be
paying out. There are tutors in the site builders, guides
for SEO, using keywords in your titles, subtitles, and
fluidly while not keyword stuffing, in your content. Meta
tags are in your editor properties to just click, and adjust
accordingly for revisions in titles. Edit to revise your
summaries, the first 2 to 5 sentences that summarize the
topic of presentation.
Basic is fine
Your site does not need to be elaborate to establish your
web presence. It can be basic in format, and presentation,
while providing value in information, reference, disclosure
and entertainment. Keep your format open, light and easy to
follow. Add a widget, a small chunk of code, you can
copy/paste into your site that provides a sticky interaction
for your visitors. Make it basic as a poll, a query, an
article that adds value for your visitors and mirrors your
intent.
You can have your web presence, cultivate your
presentation, reflect your commitment to your visitors and
tweak and add the personal spark. It's all at your command,
when you structure, have access and control of your own
website.

Tips For a Killer Web-Form
By Bryan Fleming
An easy way to get good information back from your web visitors is to add a simple contact or feedback form on your site. How these forms work is they usually email you the results of what people put into them. For example: If you have a very simple contact form people fill it out and you get an email of what they ask. You do this of course because it's almost suicide to put your email on your website. You'll get every Spam harvester on the net picking it up and soon your email won't even be usable.
So contact forms work great, but how do you make one that gets people to fill it out while giving you good information. Here are three tips for making an effective Contact or Feed back form:
#1: Respect People's Time - Remember the more questions you ask on your form the more likely you won't get anyone filling it out. Keep your forms as brief as possible.
#2: Use Drop Down Lists for easy selections - If you want to know how someone found your site don't ask, "How did you hear about us?" and put a free form textbox there. This has 2 problems. First - You won't have any consistency in your answers. Secondly - It's more work for people (so they won't fill it out). A better way is to ask the same question but use a drop down list with your common choices: Google, Yahoo, MSN, Radio, etc. You'll get more responses and you can group your responses into some meaningful information. For example, may you find that over half your visitors are coming from Yahoo.
#3: Use Checkboxes when you want someone to choose more than 1 item. This piggy backs on #2. Again, you don't want open text fields where people type in their selections. You want something you can use for reporting.
By keeping these tips in mind you'll have a much more effective contact form. Don't know how to make one? Try formmailhosting.com. Here you can make feed back and contact forms in minutes using all the techniques I've outlined above. They will email you the results of every form that's filled out in your website. Also, they save all the results in a MS Excel file, which you can use for your reporting.

Adlandpro Tips
Some detail into Adlandpro's products and services for the new or experienced
user. |
|
Common Technical Questions
How can I use the Viewer's IP address provided in the
confirmation message I receive from Adlandpro when the same
viewer clicks on my ad on your website?
Although by using sophisticated tools you can determine
many things based on the IP address (not the email
address though). we provide the IP address for two
primary reasons:
Sometimes you will see the same ip address appearing in
the confirmation messages in short periods of time. This
might mean that the same user is clicking and can't
connect to your site. Either your server is busy or
down, visitor connection is slow, or there are some
other network problems. You may want to check if there
are any problems on your end.
You can verify how the system works by
clicking on your own ad on our site which will create
such an email address with your IP included. This way
you can verify that the system is functioning in real
time and nobody is clicking to give you impression that
you are receiving traffic.

regarding email
notifications or if we can help in anyway please
