Editor's Comments

Barry Scott -Digest Editor

Here is a convenient check list for any Online Advertising you are doing. This is probably the most effective way to check on your ads to ensure everything is working as it should.

1. Make sure that you check the spelling and any links you have to ensure that they are accurate and that the information is current. Click on the live link from your ad to see that it goes to the page on your site it is meant to.

2. If you have any statistics to look over whether they are yours or if you have an ad  service that provides statistics, check to make sure that hits are still coming through. If the ads have slowed down or are just not getting the hits, edit or completely change the ad.

3. Look at your ads, are they inviting or enticing? If you have any Specials, Sales or Freebies make sure you have this posted in your ad, most viewers will check out anything that they feel could save them money.

4. Do not use misleading information that is not relevant, it may bring a viewer to your site but the chances of a sale decrease significantly with a misleading ad.

It is a simple check list and it only takes a few minutes to do every 2nd or 3rd day. It is amazing how we can be editing an ad and misspell, accidentally delete or forget about a special offer expiring that could cost you a sale.

As always and feedback or questions are always welcome, just click on my name below

Sincerely, Barry Scott Editor

How to Build Targeted Email Marketing Lists - Step by Step

By Leon Lioe

When it comes to Internet Marketing business, targeted email list is perhaps one of the most valuable asset. The reason why it's the most valuable asset is because you have immediate access to a list of targeted prospects. If you treat your targeted prospects right, they're going to become buyers and as a result, you make MONEY.

In this article, I'm going to share with you some tips and the steps you need to take to build a targeted email list.

1. Find a niche. Of course the first thing you need is a niche topic. There are many ways to find a niche, but I'm not going to discuss them here. If you have no idea how to find one, let me just share with you this simple tip.... just go to EzineArticles.com! There you will see hundreds of categories and sub-categories, take your time and browse the categories and I'm sure you'll find one that you're interested in very quickly.

2. Understand your targeted market. This is a very important step. Once you've found your niche, you need to understand your niche market. For example, let say you're interested in marketing "Home Security System". If you want to be successful in this niche, you will need to understand that SAFETY is the main concern for those who are considering to buy a home security system. They want to be able to protect themselves and/or their families.

These group of prospects will want to try and find the lowest prices without having to compromise on reliability and quality of the security system. Now, a great way to market to these people would be to construct a review style website. For instance, you could make a brief review of 3 or more companies and rank them based on reliability, prices, ease of use, etc.

3. Write a short report. This report will be given free to those who choose to opt in to your email list. TIP: Offering visitors a free report has shown to be incredibly effective in getting them to opt-in. However, your report must be addressing a particular question or concern. For example, you can write a report titled "Guide For Choosing A Home Security System" or "5 Things To Consider When Choosing A Home Security System".

4. Create a Squeeze Page. A squeeze page is basically a sales page, but instead of a "BUY NOW" button, there is an opt-in form, where your visitors can insert their name and email address in order to receive your informative short report.

5. Promote your Squeeze Page. Now that you have a good report to give away and a squeeze page to capture name and email address, it's time to get traffic to it so that you can start building your targeted email list.

There you have it.... some useful tips and steps for building targeted email marketing list.

Hope you find this article useful.

Is More Profit on Your Wish List? Motivate Shoppers For a Prosperous Holiday Season

By Pam Westbrook

The holiday shopping season is in full swing, and if you haven't already, now is the perfect time to tweak your online store to maximize sales from the influx of holiday shoppers. Often shoppers procrastinate making a purchase even when they have full intention of buying, and just need a little extra incentive as motivation to buy right now.

These simple ideas for your online store can help you establish a sense of urgency and turn more interested shoppers into customers today:

Prominently Display Expiration Dates on Holiday Promotions

If you are offering a promotion that expires on a certain date, be sure to communicate the end date prominently on your site. Allowing interested shoppers to submit an e-mail address and receive a friendly reminder before the promotion ends can increase your response rate.

Communicate Accurate Delivery Time

Shoppers are wary of purchasing gifts over the internet without knowing if their order will arrive in time for the holidays. One technique for alleviating any doubt is displaying when an item must be ordered if it is to be delivered by a certain date. If you cannot be that specific, a simple timeframe such as "Usually arrives within 1-2 weeks" can be enough to overcome this concern.

Ease Inventory Concerns

Uncertainty regarding the availability of an item is another issue that can prevent holiday shoppers from becoming buyers. Noting "In Stock" on items you have in inventory can alleviate this concern and increase the chance that a shopper will place an order. Listing inventory levels such as "Only 7 left" for low stock items can instill a sense of urgency and motivate buyers to take action now.

Of course, even with excellent marketing copy and communication, many interested shoppers will still procrastinate purchasing or leave your site to shop around a bit more. Here are some ideas for guiding those shoppers back to your site when the time comes to purchase:

  • Allow shoppers to keep a wish list or e-mail details about a product to a friend. This will allow them to easily return to products they liked as well as share them with others.
  • Make it easy to return to any page with a "Bookmark this Page" button.
  • Allow shoppers to subscribe to your e-mail or newsletter list to build relationships and present more opportunities to visit your site.

In addition to creating urgency, giving away freebies such as free shipping, bonus gift certificates or gift wrapping can be the incentive shoppers need to purchase from your store and give you a competitive edge this holiday season.

Adlandpro Tips

Some detail into Adlandpro's products and services for the new or experienced user.

Common Technical Questions

Why can't you show the email address of the person that clicked on my ad, there is an IP address but it does nothing when I click on it?

There is no ethical way to capture an email address from a viewer unless the choose to give it to you. Imagine what would happen to the internet if you could get someone's email address just by visiting a site.

Responses to your advertisement are email messages sent to you when visitors to our site click on the heading of your ad.

When this happens, our visitor is redirected to your site and at the same time, a message is being sent to you (if you selected this option) to notify you that a user has visited your site.

This option helps you to analyze the effectiveness of your advertising. Those messages act like simple hit counters for your ad when you have no other sophisticated tools to track your responses.

In some cases when the user who clicked on your ad is our registered Adland Pro user, your confirmation email will contain a link to contact this person.

If you have any questions regarding email notifications or if we can help in anyway please contact us.
