While there are a myriad of strategies to make money online, one of the most popular is affiliate marketing. However, even in the subset of affiliate marketing there are many ways to make a buck online.

The best way in my opinion is affiliate article marketing.

Writing articles and putting affiliate links in them is what affiliate article marketing is all about.

Article directories are definitely popular for anyone who even remotely has any search engine optimization efforts.

Let's say you want to promote a money making product online, for example. Now we'll assume it is a guide on how to make money from ClickBank. ClickBank is a popular affiliate retailer.

So let's continue still and say that the keyphrase "making money with ClickBank" is the one your site will target.

Your keyphrase (in this case "making money with ClickBank") is what you want to rank highly for in the search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

Enter the affiliate article marketing aspect. You now want to write articles on how to make money with ClickBank.

You can get some great ideas from the sales page of the product you want to promote. Confused still?

When you promote someone else's product online, you are said to be an affiliate of that product. Every time a sale is made through your affiliate link, the owner will pay you a percentage of the sale. One of the best ways to rank high in the search engines is through this affiliate article marketing.

When done writing, submit it to an article directory.

Pay attention, a lot of SEO'ers forget this:

Article directories do not allow you to place links in the articles themselves. You can, however, put them in the signature box. Do not forget to do this!

Backlinks point back to your site. Do not forget to use anchor text in your backlinks.

To avoid duplicate content, I recommend submitting one article to only one article directory. The search engines take duplicate content very seriously. It will negatively affect your internet marketing efforts and undermine you affiliate article marketing strategy for sure. Write more articles, get more backlinks, get more traffic, make more money.  7 Great Tips For Successful Selling

All Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners are Sales People. If you want a successful business then you need to get good at selling you products or services.

Using the Presuppositions of NLP I have developed the following 7 Great Tips to Successful Selling that I share with my clients:

 

  1. Put Yourself In Your Clients Place: It is critical to know what your client wants and needs. Be curious about their needs and wants and really get into their shoes. If you understand your clients you are better placed to help them.
  2. Ask Open Questions: Ask the When, What, Who, How, Where and When questions and then sit back and listen to their replies. Make sure you think through some great questions as part of your call or meeting preparation - this should be a standard part of your sales process and preparation. You are responsible for your communication so be aware of what you ask and how you ask it.
  3. Listen: When you have asked your questions Shut Up And Listen! You need to listen to the full answer - so when you ask a question really listen to the answer. When the other person has stopped speaking wait for 2-3 seconds - there could be more and it could be the information that makes the difference.
  4. Have a Goal: Make sure you have a clear defined goal for the call or meeting. It needs to be the next step on your Sales Process. Unless the other person is asking to buy don't try skipping steps in your Sales Process. Focus on your goal and stick to it.
  5. Adapt: Be flexible - know you business objectives, meeting objectives and call objectives but remain flexible. All your actions should be designed to increase choice and flexibility. People with the greatest flexibility have the most opportunities to succeed. Allow the person the space to buy by remaining flexible and adapting to their needs and wants.
  6. State of Mind: The right State of Mind is critical to success. Use an anchor to get yourself into the prefect state for success. Use what works for you - physical, audio or visual. Personally I like loud music - it always gets me pumped up.
  7. Learn and Develop: There is no failure only feedback. If you try something and it doesn't work then try something else. A good place to start is modeling successful sales people you know - analyze what works for them. Success is the goal so make sure you try new approaches until you find what works. When you find what works then learn from it and develop it. Make sure you look back at the end of the day and improve your process.

 

These steps all assume you have a Sales Process. If you do not have a clearly defined Sales Process with a linked Marketing Plan then you are failing to plan and planning to fail.

Take half a day to develop a solid Process and Plan and these steps will help you get the results you desire. Good luck and have fun!

Common Technical Questions

I just signed up for the Social Network Registry, how do I update the communities that you have signed me up to?

It is important to update your profile on each of these communities. It will only take a few minutes on each community to complete it. You should already have your your photo or logo, site links and a small bio ready.

The quickest way is to set up your bio and links on a word program like notepad that allows you to copy and paste and have your photo/logo file ready for upload. You can then log in to each community one at a time and copy and paste your bio and upload your picture. This will take only a couple of minutes for each and your bio does not have to be changed as it is going onto different sites. You can do your updates the same way.

You have quick launch pages in your Adlandpro account, it is called "My Networks" and you can use these pages in order to update the community sites we have registered you to.
