This below is an example how our businesses are being
destroyed by ISP's who are making decision of censorship of
emails coming to your mailboxes. As much as I hate spam and
understand that is the reasons for taking such measures, one
can't be happy with its outcomes.
Adland Digest is loosing now more subscribers each week than
it gets new ones. And this is even when we get on average
400 new subscriptions each week.

=============Who Makes You
Successful?=================
From:John Olson
Well, I am doing better and starting to get back into things
again. Thanks
to everyone who wrote and offered their thoughts and prayers
on the
passing of my Wife, that was very nice of you.
So, I wanted to share one of my, "Sermons" as I
like to call them, posted
on my TGIF Marketing Course site.
It's titled:
Who Makes You Successful?
This is one of those questions we all need to think about.
Who is the person who is going to make sure we make it in
this online
business?
Who is going to hold our hand?
Who is going to be there to help us?
The short answer is,
You!
That's right, You are responsible for your own success.
You can get all the help and advice from me or someone else,
but if you
don't follow it, if you just read it and then sit back and
do nothing,
that is what you are going to get... Nothing....
You can look for a mentor and ask them to take you under
their wing and
show you the ropes, but it's up to you to do the work. I can
offer help
and advice, but will you take it? Will you do what is
necessary to get the
job done?
To many of us just sit back waiting for the Magic Internet
Marketing Fairy
to pop into our program and Wave the Magic Wand and poof...
the money will
start to role in.
Sorry to disappoint you, there is no Magic Internet
Marketing Fairy.
You are responsible for your own success. You need to do the
work, place
the ads, talk to and write your leads and members under you.
You need to
ask for help when you need it and then follow it.
I know, I have been guilty of this in the past. How many
times did I read
or was I told to get an autoresponder but didn't? Until I
decided to write
my own Marketing Course, I didn't think I need one. I was
Wrong. I was
lazy
Since starting that course, I have realized the importance
of having a
good autoresponder and using it. Not only for the course but
to follow up
with those who join programs with me. Not to mention
Leads....
People told me for years to get one. Did I listen? No, not
until I had a
real reason to have one, did I go and get one. Then I
realized what I was
missing in my marketing. I now have about 18 of the things
for all kinds
of reasons and I keep adding them.
It's the same with Ad Tracking. I have been told for along
time to Track
my Ads. Did I listen? No I didn't. Until I saw the results
of what someone
could do by using it and the numbers of new members coming
in because of
it.
I am now Tracking my ads and I will be doing even more of
it.
The point is, we all get advice all the time, but most of
use don't listen
to it. We stubble on thinking we know better, or we just
don't want to do
the work. Then we complain that we aren't getting sign ups,
we aren't
making money.
Who is to blame?
We are, we are not listening.
So, where ever you get help from, it's up to you to put that
help to work
for you.
I can or someone else can offer you the Best Advice in the
World, but it
doesn't do any good if it goes in one ear and out the other.
Take action yourself if you want to be successful. Don't
just sit there.
Take Care and God Bless,
John Olson

Hi All,
As an internet marketer of many years I too am concerned
about the
inevitable legislation to come. Here is one
association that represents
our interests.

This first paragraph taken directly from their website:
The Email Marketing Association (EMA) is the first trade
association
dedicated solely to businesses involved in email marketing.
Membership
is open to web site owners, web site hosts, ISPs, direct
email list providers,
email advertisers and interactive agencies as well as
businesses that provide
supplies and services to email marketers.
Much Success,

Michael,
Thank you for the link regarding the Habeas lawsuits (
http://www.internetnews.com/IAR/article.php/2176071
). I read it and found it
fascinating; quite encouraging in fact.
I was particularly intrigued by the second case, Habeas vs.
Dale Heller, Stan
Stuchinski and Clickbank. To my mind this is an obvious case
of an affiliate who
got into trouble, but why implicate the program owner and
the payment processor?
"They're all benefiting from the infringement of our
trademark, so they're all
culpable" Anne Mitchell, president of Habeas, said.
"Affiliate spam is one of
the biggest producers of the spam that's eating up the
Internet now."
This, to me, a bizarre piece of thinking, akin to punishing
the child of a man
who stole food that she ate. The child has absolutely no
clue what is going on
and certainly is not conspiring with her father to steal.
Affiliate programs
expect members to abide by their rules, just as a child
expects their father to
be lawful.
Clearly, the affiliate would be the only one to blame for
his own actions and
the truth is probably NOT that he is a massive spammer, but
more likely, that he
is inexperienced.
Nearly all affiliate programs on the web (including
ClickBank) rigorously
discourage the use of SPAM and yet we have seen whole
programs taken down
because of the irresponsibility of a few. Personally, I
would like to see a case
like this argued in court; it could put an end to web sites
and whole programs
being taken down with no recourse due to SPAM complaints.
These suits could also challenge the right of Habeas to
police the internet. I
am anxious to hear the rulings. Keep us posted. :)

Cathy Wagner

Hi Shirley and welcome to the wide, wild world of Internet
Marketing :)
I see that you have picked out your program and you are now
ready to start
making sales. Terrific!
There are dozens of different ways to get the word out, and
you will have
to learn quite a bit about each one of them before you can
make an
informed decision about what works best for you. I guess the
best place to
start would be at the site you are promoting itself. Most
affiliate
programs have some resources you can use to help you
promote.
What is most important to take into account are two very
valuable assets
you possess and how much you are willing to invest of each
one of them in
your new business: money and time. The two are almost
interchangeable in
the marketing effort. Also very important to think about is
your own
personality.
Are you a people person? Then you may do very well in chats
and bulletin
boards (make sure they are specifically designated - don't
spam!) or even
promoting off line. Are you a good writer or at least
"teachable"? You may
consider spreading your message through safelist and e-zine
advertisement
or even write your own articles to submit. Do you have a lot
of time but
no money? Start exchange and click through programs are one
way to get
started. Do you have a little money to invest? You may
consider buying
leads, visitors or to be listed in the Pay per click
engines.
Remember: Internet Marketing is a business, like any other
business on or
off line. You need to do your homework, study your product,
make your
plans and to keep on learning continuously to make it work.
You have
entered into an exciting new world. Take the time to explore
it thoroughly
:)
I wish you the best of luck!
Amalia

Hello Shirley,
Please forgive me for saying so, but when I clicked through
to your offer (I had
to go to the secrets2success homepage because your URL
didn't work), it seemed
to offer all of the information you need to be successful
online. So, I am
confused. If its a good product, you have access to all of
the info you need and
if its not a good product, why are you promoting it?
Maybe the information they offer is confusing, or the
strategies they recommend
complicated. Maybe they tell you to advertise, but not how
or where? If this is
the case, I advise you to check out my site and start with
my ebook, Anyone Can
Have a Business Online, at http://www.onestopinternetbusiness.com/AnyoneCan.htm
It will give you an overview of the most common forms of
online advertising and
how to get the most out of them for free, along with a
chapter devoted to ad
writing tips. Also, at my site, you will find live marketing
discussions,
articles and an opportunity to receive prompt, clear and
thoughtful answers to
your specific questions, all for free.
Good Luck!

u s s i o n (3.3)=============
From:Ben Marroquin
Subject:Advertising help
Hi Shirely,
There are many avenues that You can take in order to drive
traffic to your
site. Your focus should be on getting targeted traffic to
your site;
traffic that is interested in what You have to offer.
On that note I went to Your site listed in Your sig. file
and came upon a
"ERROR 404: The URL that you requested, /229110 could
not be found" page.
When You get the problem resolved here are my top 6 methods
for driving
targeted and mass traffic to my site:
1) The secret to getting Search Engine traffic is picking
profitable niche
keywords related to your site. Then develop
niche-keyword-focused Web
Pages based on one or two of these keywords.
For instance: Go to Google.com and type in earthblock and
You will find
that I have the number 1 and 2 ranking (as of April 8,
2003). This one
keyword brings in over 300 free targeted visitors to my
site. Now multiply
this by 10 profitable niche keyword targeted Web Pages and
You'll begin to
see the big picture.
And thanks to SBI!'s brainstorming and researching tool I
just found a
related niche keyword that receives over 24,000 searches per
month and has
only 17 sites that are focused around it...giving me a
keyword with a
profitability of 64,408%! I created a Web Page related to
this niche
keyword 2 weeks ago and can hardly wait to see my search
engine results.
BTW SBI!'s Analyze it button makes creating niche keyword
focused pages a
snap.
This is just a very brief overview of how to receive Search
Engine traffic
because to expand would take pages upon pages of writing.
Instead of doing
this You can download a free copy of "Make Your Content
PREsell!" at
http://www.echannel411.com/freeecourses.html
(it's the 3rd free e-book);
This e-book goes into great detail on how to create a
niche-keyword-themed
site that Search Engines love.
2) Value Exchange is a new feature that will allow You to
register Your
site in a growing database of sites that are looking for
quality
complementary sites to Exchange Links with.
Exchanging links (text and/or graphical) with other sites
increases
traffic in two ways...
A) it sends each other traffic.
B) it increases link popularity ratings at the search
engines.
Value Exchange even culls out sites that have yet to achieve
their quality
standards! Why? Because the sites You link to reflect upon
the credibility
of your site and business. And best of all...registering is
currently
free. You can learn more about Value Exchanging at:
http://www.echannel411.com/value-exchange-register.html
3) Let Your Knowledge fuel traffic to Your site!
The Internet is not called the super information highway for
nothing. Just
get online and you'll have access to tons of information, on
just about
any topic you can think of, at the tips of your fingers. One
of the
greatest sources of information on the net is forums.
Knowing this and how to utilize this powerful source of
information can
lead to a flood of traffic to your website...provided You
follow some
simple rules:
A) Search for forums that are related to your business
website and area of
expertise.
B) Take a look around the boards and make sure it has a lot
of
activity/members, read the more popular topics, and model
yourself after
the veteran posters of that forum. See how they post and
emulate them.
C) Never post blatant ads! Doing so is considered spamming
and can result
in Your business going down the toilet. Don't just post for
the sake of
posting so that Your sig. file will show. This will turn
people off and
cause you to have a bad reputation...thus creating a
negative backlash to
your reputation and business.
D) Make sure your posts are informative, on topic, and
helpful.
E) Look for topics that are popular (have a large number of
hits/views)
and see if you can contribute something new and insightful
to the
thread/topic.
That's all there is to it. Make it a point to visit a couple
of forums on
a daily bases with a set goal of placing at least one
informative post.
Soon, this will add up and You'll be pleasantly Surprised
with the
results.
For greater detail on the subject visit Harvey Segal topic:
How To Profit
>From Forum Postings in issue 337 at:
http://www.adlandpro.com/archives/337.htm
4) Get real targeted traffic for mere pennies per visitor.
Pay Per Click
Search Engines is an excellent way to drive targeted traffic
to Your site.
In order for them to be cost effective You should know your
conversion
ratio, bid on niche keywords, and seek the #4 - #10
position. For more
info go to: http://www.payperclickanalyst.com/pay-per-click-articles.htm
My favorite PPC Search Engines are Kanoodle.com and
FindWhat.com
5) 1,000's upon 1,000's of Webmasters are doing it...how
about You?
Traffic Exchanges are a great way to get *mass* traffic to
Your website
for free. This is an especially good avenue of marketing if
You offer
products and services that are geared towards fellow
webmasters.
I use Traffic Exchanges to offer Free *Viral* eBooks/eCourses,
free 10 day
ad postings, free live and interactive business and internet
training,
free affiliate showcase sites, and business
opportunities...I'm happy with
the results.
I especially like to join new start up exchanges and upgrade
to pro
membership for a couple of bucks. Doing so supplies me with
2,000 hits per
month. I verify these hits using my comprehensive set of SBI!
tracking
tools.
Too learn more about traffic exchanges go to:
http://www.echannel411.com/internet-marketing-traffic-exchanges.html
6) Advertising in quality Ezines like Adland Digest ;o) is
an effective
means of getting targeted traffic to your site. It takes a
some research
to find high quality ezine but it's worth it. Here's what
you should do in
case you don't already know:
Go to Your favorite Search Engine and type in
"advertising and marketing
newsletters", "internet services newsletters"
"Business Opportunity
Newsletters" and/or newsletters related to your
offering.
Next, Subscribe to the ones that interest You most.
Then, Find out how many subscribers they have. They tell you
in the
Newsletter or on their order page, if not, email them and
ask. You'll want
to advertise in those with 3000 subscribers or more. Top
Sponsor and Solo
ads usually give you better results.
Ezine Advertising is currently the subject of much debate
because of the
proliferation of spam on the net but they are still one of
the best
advertising mediums/vehicles on the net.
Here are more internet marketing avenues that You can take
in order to
drive traffic to Your site: Writing Ezine Articles, Joint
Ventures, Banner
Exchanges, Text Link Box Exchanges, Safelists, Owning Your
Own FFA Site,
etc...and Offline Marketing.
I hope this helps You Shirely in Your online endeavors and
wish you
success.
Sincerely,
Ben Marroquin

Hello I have been a virtual larker for a year now seeing a

Some months ago the above organisation came into my circle

and I rejected it out of hand, since I felt it was a money

game.
In the intervening months, nothing has changed my view,
however, my
concerns are now growing as a friend of mine has become
involved big time,
and cannot see the pitfalls.
Here are some items from their FAQ before I explain what I
believe they
are about:
Where is WGInc located?
The registered office for WGInc is in the British Virgin

What is the World Games Inc Lottery?
Twenty-six Members in five divisions share the Sweepstakes 8
prize pool
each week. Each entry is 10 Swiss Francs.
How are lottery monies paid out?
70% to each winner's Personal Account and the remaining 30%
is placed in
their Mandatory Stock Purchase Account.
What is the World Games Inc Private stock exchange?
The Member's Private Stock Exchange comprises a stock market
game where
members can buy and sell Global Airlines Virtual Stocks. The
market is
simply driven by Member supply and demand with no external
influences.
Are the Stocks traded on the WGI Exchange based on reality?
NO! There is no link or reference to any company, rules or
regulations
beyond those of the WGI Exchange.
The WGI Exchange is purely a game.
Financials
An off shore bank account facility with debit card access is
available.
Members can apply for their own offshore, secure bank
account with 24 hour
a day access through a debit or credit card that can be used
at most ATM
machines worldwide.
These are their accepting bankers
Standard Chartered Bank
Shops 135 & 138-141
1/F Edinburgh Tower
The Landmark 15 Queens Road
Central Hong Kong
and it goes into an account by the name of Worldplay Ltd.
Okay the questions that I am asking are as follows:
Those in the USA will be advised they cannot play in this
game - it is not
legal.
Why does the company register in The Virgin Islands, bank in
Hong Kong and
have backing from Australia where they are also not allowed
to play the
game due to legality. And why do they trade in Swiss Francs?
I have also heard in the past two weeks that ATM cards are
not being
issued right now, and that the bank that had been supporting
this facility
have withdrawn their cooperation.
Why is not possible to withdraw all winnings?
Quite simply everything is being financed by more people
signing up as
virtual brokers.
Has anyone else come across this organisation and what are
your views,
please?
Thanks
Donny

Subject:Advertising Help
I'm looking for some help and advice on effective low cost
(free even
better) advertising resources that work.
I've just started using AdlandPro today, but any other help
would be
greatly appreciated.
I'm currently concentrating my efforts on promoting a free
report about
Coral Calcium supplements.
The report contains a lot of info about the different types
of CC on the
market - the good, the bad and the ugly. The overall
objective is
obviously to direct people to my CC page, having built a
relationship with
my new visitors first.
I'm trying to reach as wide an audience as possible
(targeted) but at
minimum cost (goes without saying really).
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank You for taking the time to visit and review my site
Katheryn.
You have sparked several new ideas; Ideas that will take a
while to
implement, but will definitely be worth it.
I currently receive 3 page views per visitor and about 1,000
visitors per
month from search engines.
Ever since I began to follow the Action Guide that came with
my SBI! site
more closely (starting in Jan. 2003) I have seen my Alexa
rating go from
above 800,000 to above 480,000 to 394,879 as of April 8,
2003!
My progress has been study as I continue to master the
knowledge supplied
by Dr. Ken Evoy. By the time I'm done I'm confident that I
will crack the
under 200,000 ranks at Alexa. My goal is to do so by July
2003.
I believe I will do so, especially with the new SBI! Value
Exchange
feature launching. This feature will allow me to easily,
effectively, and
efficiently raise my link popularity and search engine
ranking.
Again, thank you for taking the time to review my site
Katheryn...it is
appreciated.
Sincerely,
Ben Marroquin

Top Ten Ways to Deal with Overwhelm
ByMichael Angier
Lately, many of the people I've been talking with or
coaching
have been complaining about being overwhelmed. I have to
admit
that I've been wrestling with it too.
My ideas and my commitments seem to far outpace my time and
energy. So here's my advice to you--and to myself--for
dealing
with overwhelm.
1. Recognize that overwhelm isn't real. It's not something
that attacks us. It's a feeling we experience based upon a
belief there's too much to do and too little time to do it.
It's fear--plain and simple. And once we recognize and
acknowledge it, we're better equipped to deal with it.
2. Be grateful. Just think, the alternative is that you have
little to do and you're bored. Appreciate the fact that you
have the opportunities and the projects that allow you to
contribute to the world.
3. Accept the fact you'll never be caught up. If you're a
person of action--someone with goals and aspirations--it's
not
too likely you'll ever have an empty inbox. The times in
which
we live and our ability to do meaningful work throughout our
lives leads me to believe that we will always have things
left
to do.
4. Understand that we can only think about one thing at a
time. We may be able to multi-task and we may be able to
switch our thoughts very rapidly, but we really can hold
only
one thought in our mind at a time. Trying to think about
more
than one thing at once is very tiring and frustrating.
5. Be selective. The biggest weapon you have in fighting
overwhelm is your ability to prioritize what you need to do.
By making intelligent choices based upon urgent, non-urgent,
important and non-important, we can focus better. By basing
these choices on our core values, we can relax in the belief
that we're doing what matters most.
6. Delegate. Learn to gain the assistance of others. People
like to help, but you have to ask. Anything that can be
adequately done by someone else should be delegated. It's an
important skill worth developing.
7. Learn to say no. Our feelings of overwhelm largely come
from taking on too much. If you're asked to do something,
don't be too quick to accept the assignment. You might think
you're being a nice person, but if you succumb to health
problems because of it, you won't be nice for very much
longer.
If you're TOLD to do something (by a boss, for instance),
ask
them which things they would like to have you put off while
you complete the new assignment.
8. Take care of yourself. There will always be times when
we're called upon to put forth extra effort. And we can if
we've been taking good care of ourselves right along. For
those periods where extra drive, a few extra hours and hard
work are required, we need to be in good shape--mentally and
physically.
If we've been eating, sleeping and exercising properly,
we'll
be far better prepared for the extra stress our lives
require.
Remember to take breaks. The tendency for many of us is to
work harder and longer. In actuality, we can get more done
in
less time and with less effort if we take breaks.
9. Breathe. When we feel overwhelmed, we have a tendency to
tighten up instead of relax. It seems like there are many
things we HAVE to do, but the only thing we REALLY have to
do
is breathe. Take some long deep breaths and feel yourself
returning to the present.
10. Focus on the task at hand. If we're thinking about
what's
NOT getting done or all the other things we have to do, we
can't focus well on what we're doing now. Think about what
you
ARE doing rather than what you're NOT getting done.
Otherwise,
you're going to be defeated by your feelings of overwhelm.
Use these ten tips in dealing with overwhelm and you'll find
yourself feeling more in charge and at peace.

prioritize your tasks, problems and opportunities--as well
as
your projects, goals and purchases. It's a simple yet

you make in your life. Free Loan Payment Calculator.

=====================Joke of the Day
(1)===============
Provided by Marianne Payton
Let's see if I understand how the world works lately...
If a man cuts his finger off while slicing salami at work,
he blames the
restaurant.
If you smoke three packs a day for 40 years and die of lung
cancer, your family
blames the tobacco company.
If your neighbour crashes into a tree while driving home
drunk, he blames the
bartender.
If your grandchildren are brats without manners, you blame
television.
If your friend is shot by a deranged madman, you blame the
gun manufacturer.
And if a crazed person breaks into the cockpit and tries to
kill the pilot at
35,000 feet, and the passengers kill him instead, the mother
of the crazed
deceased blames the airline.
If a child eats too many hamburgers and French fries, and
turns into a fat pig,
the parents sue McDonald's
I must have lived too long to understand the world as it is
anymore.
So, if I die while my old, wrinkled butt is parked in front
of this computer, I
want you to blame Bill Gates...okay?
