Tinnitus is a frustrating condition referred to as a ringing or other noises in one or both of your ears. Those noises you hear aren’t caused by external sounds and other people with normal ears usually can’t hear them. Tinnitus is a general problem that affects about 15% – 20% of adults. Tinnitus is generally caused by an underlying condition such as ear injury, circulatory system problem, or age-related hearing loss.
