ARC is a benchmark instrument, uses a measurement technique designed to provide temperature-time and pressure-time data of chemical decompositions or reactions under adiabatic conditions. ARC can detect low temperatures of 0.01°C due to this accurate onset of exothermic event can be realized. ARC has important parameter which is phi-correction of the heat generated during reaction due to part of heat generated is absorbed by test cell where phi-corrected data is important. ARC provides most important and widely used industrial safety parameter called Time-to-maximum rate under adiabatic conditions (TMRad for 24hours).
