The University Grants Commission (UGC) has made it mandatory for central universities to accept students admission only on the basis of CUET (Common University Entrance Test) and not on the basis of marks obtained in 12 standard.UGC took this initiative to offer an additional chance to students in order to get admitted to their dream university as the cut-off for central universities remains usually high these exams will assist the students to score good marks as per their preferred university and program.
