An HR (Heavy Rigid) Licence is the highest class of truck licence you can obtain from holding a car licence. You must have held a car (open or p’s) or higher class of licence for at least 2 years to be eligible for HR (12 months for MR (Medium Rigid).
Any motor vehicle with three or more axles and more than 8 tonnes GVM.
Any towed trailer must not weigh more than 9 tonnes GVM.
Also includes vehicles in class MR and articulated Buses.
