Flexible PCBs are prep with a flexible substrate material such as polyimide or polyester with a thin layer of copper on it. This copper layer is later used to etch the circuit patterns that are required in the creation of the circuit boards. This characteristic of flexibility of the base material enables the PCB to flex or bend without necessarily affecting the circuit in any way. The Flex Circuits Board is flexible enough to allow bending, twisting, and folding making them suitable in applications where space or required shape is limited.
