In today's Digital Era ,whenever we search something online, it's all about Keywords.
Keyword is a word that users type in the search engine and we can also say that Keyword is the word that describes the specific business and search engines like google use this keywords to rank content. So if you want your content to rank on the search engine result page , you need to do Keyword Research becoz it's very important for any business to know what their customers are searching for.

For example
Suppose you are writing a travel blog and your latest post is “Top Places to Visit in Goa” . Now when any user searches for “Best places to visit Goa” or “Goa tourist spots” on google , if you have used the right keyword in your blog , then your blog will appear on the top of the search result.

You can also include “Goa attraction”, “Goa travel guide “ or “Goa Beaches” types of keywords in your blog so that if users search these phrases, the chances of your content ranking high increases. KEYWORD RESEARCH
Keyword Research is an important process which is used in Digital Marketing and SEO. Through this process, we identify the words and phrases that people search for on search engines. These keywords help in optimising your website's content, so that your website can rank higher in search engine result pages and attract traffic to your website.
For example
Suppose you run an online clothing store. It's very important to understand what types of clothes people are searching for. They might be looking for clothes like "affordable summer dresses," "men’s casual shirts," or "kids’ party wear." With the help of keyword research, you can find these specific terms which people are searching for and use them in your website’s content so that when people search with these keywords your website will be visible on the search engine result page.
With the help of Keyword Research you understand what term people are using to search for information and through this you also come to know which types of keywords your competitors are focusing on and how you can target those keywords to stay ahead of them.
And this part is an important part of your content strategy.

In this process first of all you have to make a list of topics and phrases related to your business and also focus on the competition and search volume of that particular keyword.

For example
If you sell beauty products, you could choose the topic like "skincare for oily skin," "natural makeup tips," or "best anti-aging creams" and then you analyse these topics to find out which keywords are searched most and whether competition is low or high so that when you use these keywords in your website you can attract your target audience. Search Volume
It shows how many people are searching for a particular keyword. Keywords with high search volume are more popular and chances for ranking with those keywords increases. There are some tools to measure Search Volume like Google Keyword Planner, Auto suggestion , Semrush.

Competition
Competition measures how many websites or pages are competing for a particular keyword. Ranking for high competition keywords is harder as many websites are already ranking on them , whereas ranking for low competition keywords is easier as there is less competition.

As you find the relevant keyword you include them in your content.

For example if you find that “Social media marketing” is the most searched keyword then you will include this keyword in your blog post
