JHSC Certification ensures compliance with the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) standards. A functional Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) is crucial for maintaining a safe workplace environment, helping to implement safety processes, procedures, and standards to protect workers from harm. JHSC Certification Part One Duration: 3 days Description: This program, suitable for all industries, is the initial step towards certification. It meets the standards set by the MLITSD and provides foundational knowledge for JHSC members to enhance workplace health and safety. JHSC Certification Part Two Duration: 2 days Description: Part Two offers advanced training tailored to specific workplace hazards. Both management and employee JHSC members must complete this training, which covers: • Chemical and biological substances • Slips, trips, and falls • Workplace violence • Ladders and associated hazards • Driving hazards • Musculoskeletal disorder hazards We collaborate with Ontario's public and broader public sectors, providing industry-specific hazard training for sectors such as manufacturing, construction, healthcare, education, and government services.
