Management colleges are often the ones who develop the MBA curriculum. Across various MBA programs connected to the same university, the core curriculum (and sometimes even elective courses) will be almost same. Even though the PGDM syllabus is the same as the MBA syllabus, there is some leeway in course design because each PGDM College sets its own PGPM or PGDM syllabus. Periodically, the MBA curriculum is adjusted to take into account shifts in industry demands. Universities typically lag behind and change their curricula after a few years.
