The Wi-Fi connection permits full user control via your smartphone or tablet, the IP connection will allow you to view, record, stream and download content from anywhere in the world. Just download an app on your smartphone and link the WIFI in your property with the chosen camera and you will be able see, hear and record remotely. If one does not want use there SSID then you can use a MIFI dongle.
