After your facelift, you'll be advised to use cold compresses and keep your head elevated. Strenuous activities should be avoided for at least two weeks to minimize bruising and promote healing. Your plastic surgeon will remove clips, and you can apply makeup once the clips are gone. Swelling and discoloration typically dissipate within a few weeks, and most patients can fly back home safely after one week if they've traveled for the procedure."
