RA Power Solutions successfully repaired a YANMAR 6N18L-SV auxiliary engine crankshaft and engine block directly onboard a vessel, eliminating the need for costly disassembly and transportation. A connecting rod damaged the crank pin during the failure, resulting in a severe crack in the engine block. Using insitu crankshaft grinding, the crankpin was machined to an undersize of 1.20 mm, restoring its operational efficiency.
