Ross doesn't give much opportunity for interpretation in Locked. All of the ideas the film aims to examine are emphasized by Eddie and William's protracted and, to be honest, monotonous chats. Eddie believes that the laws were created to unfairly punish the poor and benefit the wealthy, despite the fact that legislators are aware that the poor cannot survive if they only attempt to generate money legally. No one cares about the rich, who defy all social and legal expectations and amass fortune so large that they will never be able to spend it all in their lifetimes.
