PEBC Certificate for Pharmacists: Eligibility, Exams, and Process
The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) certificate is a mandatory credential for internationally educated pharmacists who wish to practice in Canada. This certification ensures that candidates meet Canadian standards in pharmaceutical knowledge and patient care.
The process includes three major steps:
Eligibility Assessment – Submit educational documents for verification.
Evaluating Exam – Assesses basic pharmacy knowledge for international graduates.
Qualifying Exam (Part I and II) – Part I is a multiple-choice exam; Part II is an OSCE that evaluates clinical and communication skills in real-world scenarios.
Successfully passing all stages grants a PEBC Certificate of Qualification, which is required before applying for licensure in any Canadian province.
