Diabetes (diabetes mellitus) is a disorder in which a person cannot produce sufficient (or not at all) amount of insulin hormone necessary for transferring the blood sugar to other cells for utilization. This is due to either the pancreas doesn’t have enough beta cells (essential for insulin generation) because of autoimmunity disorder, or the body becomes resistant towards the insulin.
